Epilepsy
From English 194 Wiki Site
There seems to be a relationship between epileptic and creative individuals. Norman Geschwind found that patients who suffered from complex partial seizures all seemed to write extensive notes and expressed emotions on a deeper level. These reactions to epilepsy may describe how a patient may become more creative. Although this reaction is seen within many patients, the reasoning for such circumstances is currently unknown. The following indivuals have suffered from epilepsy and have been famously known for their creativity:
- Machado de Assis
- Gustave Flaubert
- Fyodor Dostoevsky
- Edgar Allen Poe
- Charlies Lloyd
