Patent

A patent is a restriction of private rights which each state permits to individuals for a certain period of time while regulating the use of it. It is public usage of a paticular aspect, function, process or production of some sort of invention that is innovative, created, and industrial applicable.

Patenting permits the sole right to the person submitting a patent in order to prevent others from creating, using, or selling that particular invention themselves. It does not include the absolute right to use, sell, and process of the invention; there may be other laws and regulations that restrict that invention. For example, someone may be permitted to patent a song which contains sexually explicit information, but there are laws which regulate the marketing and distribution of these types of lyrics. Patenting permits sole rights to paticular people's use of the form being patented.
