Pollock, Jackson
From English 194 Wiki Site
Jackson Pollock (January 28, 1912 – August 11, 1956)
He was an American painter best known for his "drip" paintings and contributions to Abstract Expressionism. For the purposes of this website, his relationship with fellow artist Lee Krasner is of specific interest. The two lived and worked together and this "collaborative" working environment had an interesting, but probably not unique, effect on their work and subsequent fame. For a fuller description of Pollock's life and works see Wikipedia's Jackson Pollock Article.
