English 194 (Spring 2006): New Modes of Authorship: Creativity and Collaboration, 1800-2000
All assignments, including active participation in team assignments, must be completed to receive a grade in the course. The final course grade will be apportioned among the assignments as follows:
- Team assignments: 40% [roughly around midterm, the instructor will give each team an assessment of how it is doing]
- Individual assignments:
- Research reports 1 & 2 (20% each)
- Editing another team member's research report (10%)
- Improving common site assignment (10%)
- Class attendance: Because this is a small seminar that normally runs in workshop mode, regular attendance is an extremely high priority. More than two absences from class without permission or excuse will result in a failing grade. (However, if you have a special situation, please consult with the instructor to see if an arrangement can be made to compensate for extra absences.)
