Transcriptions Studio, South Hall 2509
Besides access to the campus's computing labs at Phelps Hall, students can make use of the following facilities and resources offered by the English Department. (Note:
"Transcriptions" is the overall initiative in Literature and Culture of Information that supervises the
LCI specialization and its resources.)
- Transcriptions Computing Studio (South Hall 2509). Classes of English 194 meet in this studio this quarter. But the studio is also open to undergraduates in Spring quarter outside class during the following drop-in support hours (when a Transcriptions TA will staff the room and be available for help):

Transcriptions TA
- The Transcriptions TA for Spring 2007 is Kris McAbee (kmcabee@umail dot ucsb dot edu). She will keep regular drop-in consultation hours in the Transcriptions studio (South Hall 1509). (Hours TBA.) Kris is a graduate student in the English Department whose research interests lie in the field of Early Modern studies, including English Renaissance literature, sonnets and sonnet culture, Shakespeare and Renaissance drama, violence and rhetoric of the body, and epic poetry and the Classical tradition.
