Biography

Alice Gore

To sing is to rob speech of its function and render it divine. Singing is to talking what dancing is to walking.

- Angela Carter -

Alice Gore is an international student, studying at UCSB for one year. Her home university is Trinity College, Dublin, where she studies English and enjoys the insanity of the Irish. She is originally from the south coast of England.

Alice’s interests in literature are broad, though to pick out a few, she would focus on contemporary, post-colonial and world literature - really anything that gives her an insight into different places, people and ways of life. She is a keen traveller, having spent seven months travelling in Asia, and loves dancing, singing and acting (i.e. being pretentiously theatrical). Alice prefers not to think of life post June 2008, as she does not yet know what she is going to do after she graduates. However, she is toying with the possibilities of publishing, TV/film production and being a perpetual student.
