Dan Hawley is currently a student at UCSB. He is a senior English major aiming toward a specialization in Literature and the Culture of Information. He was born in the San Fernando Valley where he lived with his parents until eighteen years old.

His time on this earth has been short, but a few noteworthy accomplishments include multiple jobs organizing and booking local talent at the Whisky, Roxy, Cobalt and Canyon Club venues, as well as performing at these places himself. A few bands he has booked with include Rx Bandits, Underwood, and many others.

He still performs on occasion but is currently more focused on writing and recording with many artists around the Santa Barbara and Los Angeles areas, as well as collaborating online with musicians in Boston. The final goal is an interactive music experience that can be enjoyed on iTunes or on a video iPod/iPhone. He is currently seeking computer programmers that can help him toward this end.

His other interests include internet technology, creative writing, theoretical physics (i.e. string theory), travel, people, all aspects of the beach, and otter pops.
